Double-Dipping Contractors

Recently, I had an agent express concern that I would be upset with them servicing for me while also servicing for another work from home company. I gave it some serious thought and even planned on discussing it with other entrepreneurs to see if my thoughts were aligned correctly to protect my company. Of course, I prayed on the issue as well and came to the conclusion that contractors working for another BPO company does not pose a threat to my agency.

I firmly believe that if an opportunity presents itself to anyone within my circle that will enhance them for the better, I say, “Go for it.” I just simply want agents to perform to the best of their ability while servicing my clients. I also require that agents are only servicing my clients while on the clock.

There are numerous companies that include non-compete clauses in their contracts to ensure that once you learn the system within the business, you are not able to use that knowledge to establish a business of your own or join another business and share your newfound knowledge with them. Ultimately, I never viewed those instances as threats or potential dangers to my business. I have learned in my journey that being a business owner is hard work and requires a level of commitment that surpasses the basics. So if someone is willing to put in the level of work that is required to be a business owner, I applaud you. But if you’re initial plan was to learn so you could build something of your own, it’s very unlikely you will be successful.

Have you ever saw a vacancy announcement and met the person doing the job you are applying for? They seem so comfortable in the role and it almost appears like they don’t do much. It’s easy to assume the ease of a job when you are viewing it from the outside. But as soon as you get in the chair, you learn very quickly that it was not as easy as it appeared to be. So just know you can’t assume that the task is simple just because the person doing it makes it look easy. Therefore, feel free to dive into this game if you choose. Wishing you the best!!! Don’t hurt yourself.
