Now that the PPP loans and other forms of money and help through the SBA is now gone, many people are asking if there is funding to help start a business. The answer is yes. Honestly, there is funding specified for any subject matter you can think of. The challenge is finding them and then making sure that the type of business you are about to start aligns with the criteria of the grant.

Federal funds are handled by various federal agencies and have certain requirements to qualify for the money. For example, I came across a grant for $125,000 from the Department of Agriculture that was to be provided to farmers markets and other community based agricultural programs.

You will find a list of al federal grants at grants.gov. Check out that site. Have a purpose that you want to accomplish and find federal funds that will provide you the capital to get started. And don’t forget to check with you state and local government to see if they are offering funds to support your business venture. The task to secure grant funding may be challenging but trust me, it is truly worth the effort if you secure one.
